Interested in a unique, short-term mission opportunity?

Training and empowering national pastors and church leaders is the mission of CMA. Along with this primary focus, we seek to connect visiting mission teams with ministry experiences on the islands and countries served by CMA. Our goal for each team is two-fold — to serve and learn. Both are accomplished by strategically linking each mission team in partnership with national churches and ministries to impact local communities with the gospel of Christ.

Serving involves being the hands and feet of Christ out in the communities, meeting real needs such as building a health clinic, assisting low-income families with home repairs, and working alongside locals in assisting with building churches.

Learning is intentional as each team is taught about ministering in a cross-cultural ministry context from CMA missionaries who host our mission teams.

CMA offers mission team opportunities in:

  • Eleuthera, Bahamas

Eleuthera

The ministry in Eleuthera seeks to involve visiting mission teams directly in the ongoing ministries on the island. In addition to community outreach projects, mission teams get involved by assisting missionaries and staff in relationship-building activities like work projects in the communities, prayer walking, after-school tutoring, VBS, sports ministries, outreaches, and other ministry opportunities.

Each year, 12-15 mission teams come to the island to serve at Eleuthera Bible Training Center (EBTC). The teams are a tremendous benefit to our training ministry by building credibility among the pastors and churches. Additionally, this experience can be life changing to those who sacrifice their time to serve on the island.

Eleuthera is a great “level one” mission trip because:

  • PROXIMITY: The Bahamas are relatively close to the United States (only 200 miles from Miami).

  • LANGUAGE: English is the official language in the Bahamas.

  • CROSS CULTURAL ministry experience that will challenge your comfort and grow your faith.

  • SAFETY: Compared to other countries, Eleuthera is relatively safe; crime is almost non-existent.

  • ESTABLISHED MINISTRY: EBTC is an established ministry committed to partnering with the local church that has been serving in Eleuthera for over 20 years.

  • AFFORDABLE: The price per person is less than most international mission opportunities.
