Our summer mission team season has come to a close in Eleuthera and what a summer it was!  On May 31, the four outstanding interns: Jessica Voss, Morgan Kyzer, Jacob Nix, and Michael Legg landed and we were off and running.  And believe me, this was no sprint, but a marathon.

We ran at a non-stop pace from that day until July 26, hosting 7 teams in a row.  Every Saturday, a team would depart and another team would arrive – certainly not for the faint of heart!  This summer God brought a total of 154 people from various churches in 6 different states to serve through the Eleuthera Bible Training Center.  These teams did service projects such as painting, mixing and pouring concrete (by hand), carpentry, and roofing in numerous settlements and at the center.  Add to those ministry opportunities Bible clubs, a field day for 100 students at North Eleuthera High School, tutoring in the primary school, a full-blown basketball camp, and Games and the Gospel events and you have a busy season.

We are excited we have solidified our witness to the nearby settlements and have opened up others, including Blackwood, a Haitian settlement in the far northern part of the island where some 800 Haitians live.  The Haitian community is a sub culture here that is an absolute joy to minister in.  We were able to spend four days with them this summer.

As Summer turns into Fall, we will be busy with the Bible training and discipleship aspects of our ministry.  We are about to begin a new training cycle in Harbour Island, God willing.  We are excited about what God is doing. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Before we know it, we will be gearing up for summer team season 2018.  We would love for you to consider bringing a team down.  Get in touch with our Executive Director, Paul Voss at to book your week or to find out more information on how you can Make Eleuthera the Next Stop in Your Missionary Journey.
