God Provides Roofing Team
Bill and Teresa Landers recently posted this update from Eleuthera.
EBTC has partnered with a local Methodist church for the past few years, providing a facility for Sunday worship while the members are in the process of building their church down the road. In previous years, teams traveling to the island for ministry have mixed concrete to help in constructing the floor, porch, and belt course. The time came for the church to put the rafters and roof on the building. Read on to see how God provided in their time of need.
We attended worship services on a recent Sunday. An informational meeting was held after church to discuss plans for completing the roof. Supplies and monies needed were discussed. Members had been having various fundraising events to prepare for this next step in completing the structure. After the meeting, Bill offered to find a team of men to come to the island to put the roof on, thus saving the church over $20,000. Bill gave them the name of a man who could lead this team. When we got home from church that Sunday, Bill had a message from the very man whose name he had just mentioned ten minutes before. The man was asking if we had any projects that a men’s construction team could help with. In a few short weeks, this team came and installed the roof. Look at God! What a mighty God we serve!
A summer team will complete the roof by installing the shingles.
We can’t say thanks enough for these men who gave a week of their time and resources to bless this church in such a meaningful way.
